IMPERSONAL = not engaging the human personality or emotions; not existing as a person; not having human qualities or characteristics
QUESTION: Have you met your Impersonal Self?
STORY: Is there such a thing as an “Impersonal Self”? And if such a thing exists - what is it, where is it and why is it important to know about this? Here are my thoughts about the “Impersonal Self”. Well, first we all have a “personal self”. It is our ego-self that is alive for a limited period of time. Our physical body is an instrument that our “Impersonal Self” uses to connect us with our Innate, True Self or Higher Consciousness. All life forms (plant, animal, human) are connected as One Spiritual, Universal Consciousness. This Consciousness is within us all. Our Impersonal Self connects us to all life on earth as ONE. Connecting with our Impersonal Self helps us to free ourselves from our machine-like reactions (fear, anger, prejudice, habitual reactiveness, old cultural beliefs in separateness and the ancient human desire to control others and lots more. I believe that today - with technology & Artificial Intelligence rapidly being installed in our daily lives - that it is time for us all to come to know our Impersonal Self. QUOTES
“If you can see it, You, the Real you, the Impersonal you, are in all and are one with all, are in Me and are one with Me; just as I AM in you and in all, and thereby am expressing My Reality through you and through all.” ~ Joseph Benner
“It’s two things: it’s totally impersonal and it’s totally personal, simultaneously. That’s the nature of the mystical experience of life. Everything about life is impersonal, but you have a personal experience. And the bridge between the personal and the impersonal is called prayer.” ~ Caroline Myss
“The Impersonal God seen through the mists of sense is personal.” ~ Swami Vivekananda
