CONTROL = To check the accuracy of, verify, regulate; to exert authority; to have power over; skill in the use of a tool, instrument, technique, or artistic medium

QUESTION: Do you know how to take control?

STORY: We have all experienced problems where we lose control. Instead of blaming others or denying - we must learn from our problems. This drawing tells the story about how my mom lost control of her life when she had a heart attack at age 87. I walked into the intensive care unit and saw Mom lying in bed, hooked up to so many machines that she could not talk. I sat in a chair next to her bed, held her left hand in my right hand, and after 20 minutes, I got my sketchbook and began drawing using my “other” hand. I let the pen go where it wanted to go. Mom felt like a mermaid swimming under an unknown ocean filled with fish - and then a sad spider showed up in the lower right corner. Was it my mother’s heart - gasping and struggling to live? Well, hours later, my pencil (or higher consciousness) took control and the fearful spider kinda disappeared and out came a snail who told me: “It will take time for mom to heal.” Mom lived another 8 years. We all can learn to let our Higher Consciousness take control as we move through a difficult situation.
